Wisconsin Department of Corrections seeks a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to direct the Buildings and Grounds program, supervise staff, and guide maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds. You will participate in project planning, manage preventive maintenance and safety programs, and ensure proper supply and budget oversight.
The role requires coordinating security staff supervision and working hours that may include extended days.
This position will assist with the direction of the Institution’s Buildings and Grounds Maintenance program, providing direct supervision to specified maintenance staff and providing direction to department staff in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and institution grounds. This position will participate in maintenance project planning, evaluation and management; direct the preventative maintenance, pest control, and grounds programs; determine supply and equipment needs; assist with monitoring budget expenditures; and conduct health & safety checks/inspections. Assigned responsibilities include monitoring supervision of Person in Our Care (resident) workers and supervising security staff to effectively carry out program functions.
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-04 with a starting pay of $33.01 to $37.17. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required.
