Job summary

Adventist Health seeks a credentialing specialist to manage the credentialing lifecycle, including initial appointments and reappointments, privileging, FPPE, and proctoring. You will ensure files are complete and compliant with bylaws and regulatory standards.

The role supports provider onboarding, coordinating access, training, orientation, and badging, while preserving strict confidentiality of credentialing records and maintaining the medical staff database.

Qualifications

• Educational background with preference for higher education in related field.
• Experience in credentialing or medical staff services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned credentialing functions for medical and allied health staff, including initial appointments, reappointments, privileging, and FPPE/proctoring.
• Ensures credential files are accurate, complete, error-free, and processed within established timelines.
• Supports provider onboarding by coordinating computer access, required training, orientation, and badging.
• Maintains current knowledge of medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory agency requirements.
• Assists with maintaining the medical staff database.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of all medical staff information and credentialing records.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
