Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a Credentials Coordinator to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role works onsite at our Bakersfield, California location and focuses on credentialing lifecycle activities, from initial appointments to privileging and reappointments.

The position requires a detail-oriented and organized professional committed to accuracy and compliance in a healthcare environment, ensuring timely processing and strict confidentiality across medical staff files.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination: Preferred
• Two years' experience in a medical staff services department or related setting: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage in all credentialing functions including appointment, reappointment, privileging and focused professional practice evaluations/proctoring
• Ensure credentials files are error-free, accurate, complete and processed timely
• Support providers in onboarding, including computer access, training, orientation and badging
• Maintain knowledge of medical staff bylaws, hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain the medical staff database and confidentiality in all matters
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
