Qualifications

• Two years of experience in medical staff credentialing or healthcare admin support.
• Knowledge of JCAHO, Medical Board of California and state requirements.
• Strong organization and deadline-meeting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate credentialing processes for medical staff; monitor proctoring for compliance.
• Prepare agendas and records for committee meetings; maintain attendance records.
• Respond to requests from legal counsel regarding physician peer review.
• Prepare letters, minutes and documents for committee actions.
• Verify licenses, education and credentials; use credentialing databases.
• Maintain confidential logs, files, and policy records per regulations.
• Assist orientation of new medical staff and staff physicians.
