State Road Animal Hospital is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to provide high‑quality patient care and strong client education. You will assist veterinarians in exams, anesthesia, dentistry, and lab work while ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office) and ability to calculate medication dosages.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in veterinary medicine and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals during procedures.
• Obtain and process samples; perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens.
• Take and maintain radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle animals gently and restrain during exams.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Keep rooms clean, restock supplies, and support team for a clean environment.
• Demonstrate warmth and professionalism in client interactions; show compassion to patients.
• Communicate with veterinarians and team about plans and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
