BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking an experienced Credentialed Surgery Patient Care Coordinator to join our emergency and specialty hospital. You will act as a liaison between the front and back of the hospital, coordinating client/patient flow, triaging calls, and performing ER follow-ups for both locations.

Evening, weekend, and holiday work across both locations may be required. As a Credentialed Patient Care Coordinator, you will monitor waiting areas, update clients on status,

Responsibilities

• Monitor waiting/exam room clients and update wait time/status.
• Coordinate patient flow between front and back of hospital.
• Triage medical calls and ER messages, assist with triage decisions.
• Maintain communication with doctors and staff to minimize wait times.
• Manage hospital census and discharge appointments.
• Facilitate patient discharges with the clinical team.
• Follow up with ER patients for feedback at both locations.

As a Credentialed Surgery Patient Care Coordinator, you will act asaliaison between the front and back of the hospital by facilitating client/patient flow between the waiting room, exam rooms, CSR staff,and clinical staff, triaging medical phone calls, coordinating client/doctor communication, and performing ER visit follow-up calls for both locations. Evening, weekend,and holiday work across both locations may berequiredas part of the normal workweek.

As aCredentialed Patient Care Coordinator, you will:

• Monitor the waiting/exam room clients;assistwith refreshments/marketing materials; update clients on wait time/patient status
• Maintain open communication withthedoctor and technical staff to minimize wait times and maximize patient flowregardinglong wait times
• Coordinate patient flow between multiple specialties
• Manage Cornerstone hospital census
• Facilitate discharge appointments for all services
• Perform patient discharges in coordination withthetechnical team
• Manage patient discharge/visit board and exam rooms; ensure comfortable andtimelyvisits & discharges
• Check ER doctor message bin and triage messages for doctors;facilitatesolutions for clients
• Receive and address patient care telephone calls from thegeneral public
• Call previous day’s ER clients for follow-up feedback for both locations
