Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to guide daily academic enrichment and tutoring activities under the supervision of the Program Coordinator. You will foster a safe, engaging environment and support youth in a school-based after-school setting.

Responsibilities include organizing activities, coordinating with school staff and families, supervising participants, and maintaining a professional, positive presence during afternoon sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with K-12 students in educational or community youth outreach settings.
• Ability to work cooperatively with school district staff, parents and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for academic benchmarks in core subjects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to critical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing daily academic and tutoring activities under the program coordinator.
• Maintain a rigorous academic environment and sound classroom management; prepare supplies and materials.
• Supervise participants in the classroom and monitor student well-being.
• Communicate with parents and families about program activities and concerns.
• Maintain professional attitude and coordinate with school staff.
