Job Summary

  • Responds to phone inquiries for information on process orstatus of application and assists international and/or domesticstudents in completing application process.

  • Responds to inquiries from campus partners regarding theprocess or status of student applications.

  • May provide guidance to other admissions credentialsrepresentatives.

  • Completes route sheets with an overview of candidate'sbackground; checks student's eligibility for degree; profilesinstitutions candidate has attended.

  • Calculates candidate's grade point average, explains foreigninstitution's grading scale; evaluates on candidate's Englishability, standardized test scores, and produces transfer creditreports for students ensuring that work done on other campusesappears on IU transcript.

  • Forwards information and recommendations to appropriatedepartment and notifies candidate as to status of theirapplication.

  • Assists with the evaluation of programs where IU students arestudying; ensures that these programs are accredited; and notifiesstudents of program status.

  • Trains and oversees international and/or domestic staff; servesas resource on questions regarding policy and procedures.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).


WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of office or related experience.

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. After an initial period of training that will take place at theFerguson International Center, this position is eligible for remotework on an ongoing basis. Remote work arrangements are subject tochange based on university policy and business needs.


Advertised Salary

$17.50-$18.45 per hour depending on relevant skills andexperience
