We are a small group of growth operators and strategists who partner with fast-growth, high-potential direct-to-consumer businesses as their injected marketing team. Creator work supports nearly every partner we have, primarily through partnership ads and creator seeding.
This person will lead the creator function, inheriting a 2-person team including a Creator Sourcing Associate and Creator Associate Manager, and will partner closely with leads on the Paid Media and Performance Creative teams. Most of our creator programs fall in the following buckets: creator seeding, creator partnership/spark ads, UGC content, and some creator affiliate work. As partner volume grows, we expect the creator team to grow with it, and this person will help define and hire those roles.
The Role
- Run large-scale creator seeding programs with the support of two direct reports. Own the seeding strategy (products, creator archetypes, posting incentives), budget management, outreach sequencing, post rate tracking, follow-up, overall program optimization, and reporting to clients.
- Define key creator archetypes tailored to the audience persona(s) of each client's brand, continuously iterating and improving as learnings surface.
- Utilize tools like Saral and Trybe to build and maintain creator pipelines across TikTok, Meta, and YouTube (depending on the needs of the partner), directing the Creator Sourcing Associate on list building and prioritization and facilitating creator affiliate onboarding where applicable.
- Own the optimization of respective creator budgets across clients, managing spend allocation across creators, platforms, and programs, tracking ROI, and reallocating budget as-needed.
- Create briefs tailored to respective brands and programs, refining as you notice gaps in the brief via recurring content revision requests.
- Work to build strong relationships with top performing creators, and, over time, create an internal roster of top talent that can be utilized across clients.
- Oversee creator contract negotiation, facilitating competitive agreements on rates and deliverables while managing usage rights, licensing, and exclusivity windows.
- Serve as the final set of eyes on creator content before it reaches a partner or goes into ads, working directly with the creator on revisions to adjust hooks, scripts or visuals.
- Review and report on performance data across creator programs including product seeding, partnership ads, UGC, and affiliate, building an always-on feedback loop of insights to refine strategy.
- Manage and develop two direct reports while documenting processes to facilitate clarity and smooth onboarding as the department makes new hires.
- As programs grow, identify opportunities for team expansion and proactively communicate hiring needs.
- Contribute creator scope, budget estimates, and capacity planning to client proposals.
- Organize and help maintain respective client creator CRMs across Monday.com, Saral and Trybe.
- Attend weekly partner calls to provide updates on creator program performance, work-in-progress updates, and key learnings.
- Stay abreast of creator industry trends, including rate norms, SaaS tools, creative formats, and the ever-evolving role creators play in marketing ecosystems, regularly sharing learnings with the team at large.
Who You Are
- Analytical and creative in equal measure. You can read a performance report and rewrite a creator video hook with equal ease.
- Clear on how creator content drives revenue, and able to explain that connection to a partner.
- Confident in your creative judgment. You can look at raw footage and know what is usable, and you can take content from good to strong.
- Direct, specific, professional and confident in writing and on calls, including when giving creators notes.
- Always eager to learn, grow and teach.
- Steady if a conversation gets tense. When negotiations stall, feedback lands badly, or creators get difficult, you stay professional and keep the relationship workable.
- Comfortable with Motion or a comparable creative analytics tool.
Requirements
- 6+ years in creator, influencer, social-first creative or relevant field. Experience with consumer brands preferred.
- 2+ years in a managerial role managing at least one direct report.
- Experience running creator programs at volume, meaning concurrent programs across multiple businesses or a high-volume of activated creators at any given time.
- Experience allocating campaign budget and reporting on return.
- Experience with creator content used as paid media, not just pay-to-post partnerships.
- Experience using performance data to inform creative decisions.
- Working knowledge of usage rights, licensing, and disclosure requirements including FTC guidelines.
- eComm experience required.
- Nice to have: TikTok Shop or Amazon creator/affiliate partnerships.
