Job summary

Bon Appetit Management Company is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for the Amazon account in Santa Clara, CA. This leader will support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for staff.

You will prepare or direct the preparation of meals in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines. The role requires culinary leadership, strong cost controls, and the ability to innovate menus across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience
• Mastery of a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations
• Knowledge of food cost and how it pertains to a kitchen, product and quality identification
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills
• Applied food service sanitation certification (SERVSAFE/HACCP)

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef to ensure sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising requirements are met
• Motivate and train back-of-house staff to meet operational objectives and customer satisfaction
• Ensure high quality, creatively prepared and cost-effective food presentation
• Assist in planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
• Support management of cost controls and expenditures
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams
• Perform other duties as assigned
