Job summary

Montage International is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef for our Studio location. You will lead a culinary team, manage daily kitchen operations, and help craft memorable dining experiences for guests.

We value passion for food and beverage, strong leadership, and a commitment to quality. The role requires flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays; base pay ranges from $76,000 to $90,000 per year, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of culinary supervisory or management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of implementing new food concepts and menus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operation of the kitchen including recruiting, hire, train, and supervision of cooks.
• Implement cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Prepare and order all items for all menus, create order sheets and inventory systems to ensure proper stock levels.
• Execute all productions and plating in a timely manner.
• Oversee menu development with head Chef, culinary innovation, and food presentation, ensuring offerings are creative and on-trend.
• Ensure the department adheres to safety and sanitation policies.
• Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
