Job summary

Skillforce is currently hiring Scenic Mold Makers in Orlando, FL for on-going projects. Pay is $25- $28 per hour based on experience and skillset. As a Scenic Mold Maker you are responsible for building high quality molds for large-scale commercial projects.

OSHA 10 required. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, constructing and finishing molds, and collaborating with production teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mold maker or similar shop/fabrication role.
• Experience with sticky molds, silicone molds, matrix molds or related materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in scenic fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and repair molds for fiberglass, foam, composites, and other specialty materials
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications
• Construct molds using wood, fiberglass, resin, plaster, silicone, and various other mold-making materials
• Prepare molds for production ensuring accuracy and quality
• Perform finishing, trimming, sanding, and surface preparation as needed
• Collaborate with scenic artists, carpenters, sculptors, and production teams to meet project deadlines
• Inspect completed molds and troubleshoot issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
