Job summary

Randstad USA in Peachtree City, GA is seeking a Mold Maker to perform precision mold assembly, maintenance, and client training. You will work with project leaders and international engineers from mold approval to final delivery, ensuring high-quality surfaces and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include leading mold acceptance, deburring, polishing, and mentoring colleagues while maintaining strict safety and quality standards in a high-end tooling environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical mold making and precision finishing.
• Experience with plastic injection molds and high-end tooling.
• Ability to interpret measurement reports and ensure tolerances.
• Proven ability to guide others and train clients.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and optimize molds and components.
• Lead Internal Mold Acceptance (IMA) and manage mold approvals.
• Perform deburring and polishing to meet high-tolerance specs.
• Inspect own work and rectify deviations using measurement reports.
• Mentor junior-to-senior moldmakers and coach colleagues.
• Provide technical training to clients on-site or off-site.

MOLD MAKER

Location: Peachtree City, GA

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly (M-F: 7a-5p; OT every other weekend as needed) Pay Range: $33-$40+ ($40+ requires 20+ years experience); excellent benefit package

Responsibilities

• Assembly & Optimization: Responsible for the precision assembly/disassembly and optimization of molds and their components.
• Technical Validation: Lead Internal Mold Acceptance (IMA) alongside project leaders and manage internal/external mold approvals.
• Precision Finishing: Execute expert-level deburring and polishing to ensure mold surfaces meet high-tolerance smoothness requirements.
• Quality Control: Inspect your own work and that of others using advanced measurement reports; identify and rectify any technical deviations.
• Mentorship: Guide and coach junior-to-senior level Moldmakers by explaining procedures and supporting daily operations.
• Training: Provide technical training to clients, potentially involving both on-site and off-site sessions.
