Job summary

Fashionphile is seeking a Production Designer to own print, retail, and in‑house product work from concept to final production. You will design and produce store signage, wholesale materials, and manage supplier relationships to bring private label products to life.

In this role, you will push the creative bar, ensure brand consistency, and travel to stores about once a month for activations and sign-offs, while collaborating with vendors to meet strict timelines and quality standards.

About the Opportunity:

The Production Designer is a hands‑on creative owner responsible for FASHIONPHILE's print, retail, and in‑house product work. This role designs and produces everything from retail store signage to wholesale print to our private label product line, and sources the suppliers to make it real. The ideal candidate pairs a strong design eye with deep production knowledge, and pushes the creative work to be more original, more polished, and more on brand. Occasional digital support is part of the role, but the focus is print, retail, and product. Responsibilities include:

• Own and execute print projects of all kinds, from concept through final production, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of quality and brand consistency.
• Design and product all retail store signage, including coordinating with vendors and ensuring accurate on‑time installation across locations
• Own our private products end to end, from design and development through sourcing, production, and launch. Develop the in‑house product line and manage supplier relationships, samples, pricing, and quality.
• Own wholesale print projects, partnering with stakeholders to deliver materials that elevate the brand with wholesale partners.
• Push and drive creative across all work. Bring fresh ideas, challenge the status quo, and raise the creative bar for the brand.
• Support digital creative needs as they arise, adapting print and product work for online channels.
• Travel to retail stores approximately once a month to handle in‑person activations involving printed and physical marketing materials, brand and vinyl installs, and to review signage, in‑store presentation, and product to ensure brand standards are met.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of print and production design experience
• Degree or Certificate in Graphic Design
• Hands‑on experience developing physical products or managing supplier sourcing
• Managing supplier sourcing
• Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Strong file prep and print‑ready production skills
• Working knowledge of print processes, materials, finishes, and packaging
• Proven experience sourcing and managing vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers
• Strong design instincts and the ability to take a product or print piece from concept to finished, shipped result
• Excellent communicator, both in person and in writing
• Highly organized, able to juggle multiple projects at once and work independently with minimal direction
• Willingness and ability to travel to retail stores about once a month

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in luxury, fashion, retail, or e‑commerce
• Experience designing private label or branded merchandise
• Familiarity with retail signage and in‑store environments
• Driven by a sense of urgency, with strong skills in balancing competing priorities
• Passionate about executing superior creative work on time, on budget, and to consistently high standards

Compensation:

Pay Scale: FASHIONPHILE reasonably expects the range to be $80,000 - $87,000 for this position in our Carlsbad, CA or Los Angeles, CA location.
