Michaels Stores in Clifton, NJ is hiring an Event Coordinator to plan and host children's birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage participants of all ages, demonstrate crafts, and manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons while upholding safety standards.

The role includes assisting customers, processing sales, guiding Rewards and Private Label Credit Card enrollments, supporting BOPIS/SFS processes, and handling daily store tasks with a friendly, energetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (children’s parties, crafts classes).
• Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts; perform face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback; create backup plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Set up, break down, and clean up before/after events.
