Michaels in Grand Rapids-Walker, MI is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including kids' birthday parties, ensuring a fun, stress-free experience for guests. You will assist customers, handle checkout, enroll shoppers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, and coordinate with the store team to keep events running smoothly.

This role requires energy, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience planning children's parties or events.
• Excellent people and communication skills.

• Ability to stand for long periods and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple in-store events (children's parties, crafts).
• Engage guests of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities, including setup of add-ons.
• Assist customers with shopping and checkout processes.
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Coordinate with store team and handle communications about events.
• Support BOPIS/SFS processes and maintain store cleanliness.
