Job summary

The Michaels Companies in San Antonio, TX is seeking an energetic Event Host to plan, coordinate and facilitate in-store events, including kids' birthday parties, at our La Cantera location. You will engage guests of all ages with crafts, face painting and hands-on activities while maintaining store standards.

You will coordinate client communication, scheduling, and event add-ons, support checkout, and help with setup and breakdown.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to engage guests of all ages.
• Excellent people skills and strong communication in-person and written.
• Organizational and planning skills for coordinating multiple events.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with children’s events is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage clients of all ages, lead crafts, face painting, and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team; handle emails and calls.
• Assist customers, support checkout, and ensure store recovery and safety standards.
