Job summary

Michaels Fort Worth is hiring a Part-time Party & Event Host to plan and coordinate events inside the store, including children’s birthdays. You’ll engage guests, teach crafts, and manage add-ons while ensuring a fun, safe shopping environment.

The role involves assisting customers, checkout support, and maintaining store standards. Evening and weekend hours are possible, with strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with children's events or party hosting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events (including children’s parties) within the Michaels store.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts; perform face painting and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle administrative tasks.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback; create backup or emergency plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction; uphold store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
