Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes. You will engage with clients of all ages, demonstrate and instruct craft projects, and assist with party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.

You’ll communicate events with clients and store team members, handle administrative tasks, and adjust plans based on feedback to ensure every event is fun, safe, and aligned with company standards.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality required.
• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children's events.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal) and listening skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Retail and/or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (children’s parties, crafts classes).
• Demonstrate and instruct craft projects to participants.
