Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events such as kids’ birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage customers across all ages, demonstrate projects, and provide a fun, creative atmosphere while guiding participants through activities and ensuring safety and cleanliness.

You will also handle administrative tasks, coordinate with the store team, and upsell program benefits while maintaining brand standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating events or kids parties is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at Michaels stores (e.g., kids birthdays, craft classes).
• Engage clients of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities, including face painting.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons per brand standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls.
