Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Manager, Creative Director to lead a large in-house team across print and digital channels in New York, NY. The role requires strategic, evidence-based marketing leadership and a track record of building breakthrough creative that drives results.

You will manage a mix of full-time staff, contractors, and agencies, coach teams to grow, and partner with marketing strategists to influence customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience leading creative teams.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Creative Director.
• Creative portfolio that includes produced work for large, integrated marketing campaigns.
• Experience at a large in-house creative team.
• Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand.
• 2+ years of experience leveraging emerging AI technology such as Gemini or Claude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team to develop strategically-grounded, insight-driven creative.
• Manage creative talent including full-time associates, contractors, and agencies.
• Empower and inspire associates through coaching and career development.
• Collaborate with marketing strategists to understand needs and improve customer experience.
• Translate business intent into creative strategies and executions that market products.
• Leverage audience insights and test results to focus messaging.
• Build and maintain relationships with partner groups to address obstacles.
• Present and influence to increase buy-in and create opportunities.
