Job summary

Union Power Cooperative seeks a Digital Communications Specialist to support the Director of Digital Communications and the Communications & Marketing division. You will craft clear and engaging digital, visual, and written content across the Cooperative's channels, using current digital tools while upholding the mission and values.

You will design graphics, manage content calendars, assist with website updates, and help execute advertising, marketing, and public relations campaigns.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, digital media, or related field.
• 1–3 years of related work experience preferred; energy utilities/coop exposure a plus.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) and MS Office.
• Experience with content management systems and social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Responsibilities

• Create and design graphics, visuals, and digital assets for publications, social media, website content, and ads.
• Schedule, publish, and manage content across digital channels and intranet.
• Maintain social media content calendar; draft posts and monitor engagement.
• Review AI-assisted content for accuracy and brand consistency.
• Support photography and videography, organize assets, and archive materials.
• Assist with events communications and crisis communications support.
