Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses knives and other utensils.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams using various methods.
• Garnishes and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Follows Aramark safety policies and protects assets.
