Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to recipes and guidelines.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping and peeling.
• Safely uses utensils and operates ovens, stoves, slicers and mixers.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams and uses various cooking methods.
• Garnishes and portions food per established guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies and keeps areas and utensils clean.
• Maintains positive customer service and professional demeanor.
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures security of company assets.
