Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Cook to join our team in San Bruno, CA. You will cook and prepare a variety of foods following production guidelines and standard recipes, ensuring quality and safety at all times.

You will set up your workstation, measure ingredients, and operate ovens, stoves, and other equipment. The role emphasizes precise food handling, sanitation, and excellent guest interactions as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Properly store food by adhering to safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure security of company assets.
• There may be physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended standing; uniforms/PPE may be required.
