Experience in cooking and knowledge of food safety are required; ability to lift and stand for extended periods is expected. Training and certifications may be provided in the role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or related role.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and sanitation.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to recipes and production guidelines.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives and operate ovens, stoves, and mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and cook meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Store and portion food according to safety policies; maintain sanitation.
