Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of food preparation methods and food safety regulations is expected.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication is important.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses utensils including knives and operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses varied cooking methods on meats and vegetables.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food properly and adheres to food safety policies and sanitation.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment; maintains positive guest service.
