Job summary

Aramark is seeking a dedicated cook to bring recipes to life on our on-site team. You will work with fresh ingredients and a range of equipment, exploring different cuisines and cooking styles while adhering to safety procedures.

You will be responsible for measuring, prepping, cooking, and presenting dishes, maintaining sanitation, and supporting a positive guest experience. This role offers opportunities to develop new skills within a dynamic food-service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods; understanding food safety, sanitation, and storage.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam using various methods for meat and vegetables.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food per safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
