Job summary

Aramark Corporation seeks a Cook to join our team in Daytona Beach, FL. You will cook a variety of foods using standardized recipes, set up stations, measure ingredients, and operate ovens and mixers while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

You will contribute to guest satisfaction with quality food and great service, follow production guidelines, and adapt to different cooking styles. Prior cook experience and ability to obtain food safety certification are required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
• Safely use utensils including knives
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
• Store food following safety policies
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and co-workers
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure security of assets
