Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining cleanliness while delivering friendly customer service and upholding Aramark safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and food safety regulations.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with required ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various methods for meats and vegetables.
• Garnish and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food per safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and protect assets.
