McDonald Garden Center is seeking a creative Content Marketing Specialist to support our content, marketing operations, and community events. This hands-on role combines social media and content creation with substantial administrative coordination and direct support to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

You’ll work with our marketing team and colleagues across the company to bring ideas to life and keep daily projects moving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
• At least two years of marketing experience, including one year in social media.
• Strong writing skills and experience creating photo and video content.
• Willingness to appear on camera and represent the company professionally.

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and publish social media content, including photos, short-form videos, captions, and Stories.
• Appear on camera for product features, promotional videos, and other marketing content.
• Write and update blogs, website content, event listings, and promotional materials.
• Monitor social channels and shared inboxes; respond to inquiries and coordinate follow-up.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Director of Marketing & Communications.
• Maintain marketing calendars, spreadsheets, reports, and department records.
• Coordinate supply orders, vendors, and distribution to stores.
• Help plan and execute workshops, events, donations, and community programs.
• Collaborate across departments on content, signage, and communications.
• Track content performance and keep websites and business listings accurate.
