The role requires hands-on decorating skills, knowledge of color theory, and the ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling including nights and weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and other bakery items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures.
• Maintain production and spoilage records and adjust production sheets as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display case and ensure freshness.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and team members.
• Create special order cake designs per customer preferences.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist with phones and pages promptly.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and safe equipment handling.
