Job summary

Katella Bakery is seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to design, decorate, and finish cakes, pastries, and desserts for custom orders and bakery displays.

You will prepare icings, fillings, buttercream, fondant, and decorations, decorate cakes within deadlines, maintain clean stations, and provide friendly customer service. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with knowledge of sanitation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years pastry or cake decorating experience.
• Experience with fondant.
• Must hold valid California Food Handler Card.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and decorate cakes and pastries per orders.
• Prepare icings, fillings, and decorating items.
• Decorate cakes within specified time frames.
• Maintain clean bakery cases and display.
• Assist Bakery Manager as needed.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation practices.
