Job summary

Meijer in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Cake Decorator to prepare and decorate cakes for multiple occasions and maintain the cake case during shifts. You will also fill and condition the cake case, ensuring fresh displays and accuracy of orders.

You will manage cake out-dates daily, process cake orders, oversee cake and icing inventory, and uphold sanitation standards while delivering friendly service to customers. There may be deli/bakery opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and decorating cakes for multiple occasions.
• Fill and condition the cake case throughout the shift.
• Managing cake out-dates daily.
• Receiving and processing cake orders.
• Managing cake and icing inventory.
• Managing cake decorating station to include preparing icing's and following all sanitation procedures.
• Maintaining a positive, friendly working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
• Stocking and maintenance of product and product displays according to quality and merchandising standards.
• Potential for working in our deli and bakery areas.
