Shaw’s and Star Market in Burlington, MA is seeking a Cake Decorator to create decorated cakes and desserts, prepare icings, apply designs, and complete custom orders following established recipes and decoration standards.

You will maintain a clean, organized area, stock display cases, review order details, and decorate to match specifications in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Clear communication when taking orders and exchanging information with colleagues.
• Experience with icing, piping, and finishing techniques for cakes.
• Familiarity with preparing icing, whipped toppings, and decorative elements.
• Maintain consistency and presentation aligned with order specs.
• Efficiently manage multiple orders while keeping workflow.
• Understand display case stocking to ensure visual appeal.
• Read and interpret order forms, tags, and production instructions.
• Adapt to changing priorities and varying order volume.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and product handling requirements.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 lbs periodically.
