Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Cake Decorator to create decorated cakes and desserts that are as appealing visually as they are delicious. You will finish cakes, prepare icings and decorations, and fulfill custom orders from established recipes while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

You will process customer orders, review order details, and complete decorations to match specifications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous cake decorating experience required.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read and interpret order forms, tags and production instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and display cases.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes and desserts per established recipes and decoration standards.
• Prepare icings, fillings, and decorative elements.
• Process customer cake orders and ensure accuracy of details.
• Complete decorations to match requested specifications and timelines.
