Job summary

Food City is seeking a Food Service Associate to support our mission of Run the Best Store in Town. You will greet customers, provide friendly service, and help decorate cakes and cookies, keeping cases neat and well-stocked.

Roles include taking telephone orders, proper rotation and dating of products, and cross-training in multiple areas to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service to support the company mission.
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote a friendly, fun atmosphere through teamwork.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare and produce quality food & products to meet customer expectations.
• Decorate specialty cakes, cupcakes and cookies; use photo cake computer.
• Maintain cookie and cake cases and take telephone orders for cakes.
