Position Summary:We are hiring a full-time Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) to join our interdisciplinary team at Vida Guidance Center in the Bronx, NY. Vida is an Article-31 Mental Health Center serving families in the community. As an
LCAT Therapist at Vida, you will conduct individual and group psychotherapy with adults and/or children and families.
Minimum Qualifications:- Master's Degree in Creative Arts Therapy required.
- NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Familiarity with evidence-based modalities.
- 2+ years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting required.
Key Duties:- Complete documentation in accordance with OMH regulations and monitor treatment plans.
- Provide bio-psychosocial and clinical diagnostic assessments.
- Conduct individual psychotherapy and counseling services to children within public schools.
- Maintain skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to support patients in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
- Offer counseling to family members to facilitate understanding and support for patients.
- Engage in crisis intervention when necessary and refer patients or families to community resources.
- Collaborate with medical providers and participate in clinical team meetings to develop and implement treatment plans.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $72,000 per year; Maximum $80,000 per year
Work Environment, Location, and Schedule: Onsite, Bronx, NY, with shifts between Mondays and Saturdays (5 shifts per week).
