Job summary

Berklee College of Music in Boston seeks a Student Success Advisor to guide a cohort of undergraduate performing artists, musicians, dancers, and creative entrepreneurs toward academic milestones and degree progression.

You will provide holistic, empathetic coaching, monitor progress, deliver targeted interventions for at-risk students, and collaborate with campus partners to offer a comprehensive care network; experience in higher education advising is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 1–2 years in higher education advising and student persistence.
• Inclusive advising for diverse student populations.
• Technical savvy with student information platforms, CRM, and analytics.
• Empathy, active listening, adaptability, and a care ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 advising and proactive outreach.
• Monitor milestones like major declaration and time-to-degree.
• Identify at-risk students and deliver targeted coaching.
• Help navigate policies and degree options.
• Develop and run workshops and events.
• Collaborate with campus partners for holistic care.
• Maintain advising records in SIS and analytics tools.
