Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking an Art Instructor to teach classes, develop curriculum, and build partnerships within the community. The role focuses on nurturing students' creativity, confidence, and technical skills in visual arts.

The instructor will design lessons using a variety of techniques and materials, assess student progress, and participate in ongoing professional development and outreach initiatives to expand community arts programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts or equivalent experience.
• Two years teaching experience required; five years preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating art instruction experience and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach art classes and develop curriculum and assessments.
• Establish collaborative partnerships within the community.
• Support recruitment and outreach efforts for art programming.
• Maintain records and provide activity summaries to the Kroc Fine Arts Coordinator.
• Attend staff meetings and set up/prepare classrooms for classes.
