Job summary

The Orchards is seeking an Activity Assistant (Part-Time) to help create meaningful experiences for residents at The Orchards at Foxcrest. You will work under the Activity Director to plan and lead activities that promote socialization, creativity, cognitive stimulation, physical activity and overall quality of life.

We value compassionate, energetic teammates with strong communication and organizational skills who can adapt activities to individual resident needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with older adults or in senior living preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, enthusiastic, compassionate and patient.
• Ability to adapt activities to resident needs.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting activities based on residents' interests and abilities.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and programs.
• Provide one-on-one and group activities to promote socialization and well-being.
• Assist with special events, holidays and community outings.
• Help with decorations and preparing calendars for residents and families.
• Coordinate with entertainers, vendors, volunteers and other providers.
