Qualifications

• Experience with seniors in activities, recreation, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, energetic, patient and compassionate personality.
• Ability to work with residents with varying abilities.
• Flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating daily activities and programs for residents.
• Lead and participate in recreational, social, educational, cultural, and therapeutic activities.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting interests, abilities and preferences.
• Assist residents with activities and provide support when needed.
• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social interaction.
• Organize special events, outings, celebrations, and holiday programs.
• Prepare activity areas, materials, and supplies before and after programs.
• Maintain documentation of resident participation and activities.
• Communicate resident interests, preferences, and concerns to the Activities Director and care team.
• Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and appropriate environment.
• Encourage residents to remain active and engaged within the community.
• Maintain inviting and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the community.
