Aventura at Prospect is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to plan and lead engaging activities for residents, promoting socialization, creativity, and well-being. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences that bring joy to residents.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and prior SNF Activity Aide experience, plus strong communication and a patient, dependable attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous SNF Activity Aide experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Creative, energetic, and able to engage residents.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and facilitating daily activities and recreational programs.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Organize arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, events, and celebrations.
• Assist residents in participating in activities as needed.
• Help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
• Build positive relationships and encourage social interaction.
• Prepare materials and supplies for activities.
• Maintain activity areas and supplies safely and cleanly.
• Document resident participation and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to support needs.
• Follow facility policies, safety and infection-control guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
