Job summary

Harrier Grange Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through engaging, person-centred activities for residents. You will plan, deliver and adapt a varied programme, building relationships to understand preferences and ensure inclusive participation, including residents living with dementia.

We welcome both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

Qualifications

Creative and enthusiastic approach to activities for older people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities.
Genuine interest in supporting older people and dementia-friendly activities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidates with transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities tailored to individual interests and care needs.
Deliver engaging, meaningful activities to promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.
Build strong relationships to understand preferences and enable inclusive participation, including those with dementia.
Work as part of the wider care team to create a positive, stimulating environment.
