Job summary

RGA Enterprise Services Company is seeking an experienced Real Estate Underwriting professional to support pre- and post-closing activities and loan analysis for commercial mortgage investments. You will assist in credit presentations, market analyses, lease reviews, and borrower financial assessments under the direction of the Director(s) of Underwriting.

Qualifications

• BS in business, economics, finance or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of investment-related or commercial real estate experience.
• MA or MBA may substitute; CFA/CCIM designations preferred.
• Masters in Business Administration, Real Estate or Finance preferred.
• Prior CMBS or real estate structured securities experience valued.
• Experience managing investments for insurance client assets a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing credit presentations under underwriting directors.
• Support market analyses, rent and sales comps, major tenant analyses, borrower analyses, and lease reviews.
• Review appraisals, property condition reports, environmental reports, leases, rent rolls, operating statements, borrower documents, and financial statements to identify risks.
• Coordinate with closers and legal counsel to ensure loans meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintain loan production data and generate production reports for the Director(s) of Underwriting and CML team.
• Develop loan ratings by analyzing credit characteristics of new loans for losses and market values.
• Liaise between Asset Management and Underwriting to compare annual ratings to initial underwriting.
• Data entry and quality control of mortgage loan data in Loan Management System; support data accuracy.
