Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a CRE Transaction Specialist to drive the end-to-end process of commercial real estate capital market transactions.

You will coordinate handoffs, manage timelines, and ensure a professional client experience from start to close. The role requires strong communication, meticulous document control, and collaboration with originations, underwriting, legal, and servicing teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in CRE, legal, lending, title/closing, or related fields.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transaction from handoff through closing, ensuring timely completion of all deliverables.
• Maintain transaction workflows, checklists and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with originations, underwriting, legal, lenders, title, and clients to facilitate closings.
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact during execution, providing updates and ensuring quality experience.
• Track due diligence and closing conditions; follow up to mitigate delays.
• Support post-closing handoff to servicing teams and proper documentation transfer.
• Prepare and organize lender packages, closing documents, and client deliverables.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and reporting for pipeline visibility.
• Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to workflows and execution.
