California Bank & Trust, a division of Zions Bancorporation, is seeking an Underwriting & Credit professional to evaluate CRE loan opportunities and manage portfolio risk. You will analyze financial statements, cash flows, and collateral, preparing concise credit memoranda for approval committees.

The role supports deal origination, construction budgeting, and ongoing monitoring, partnering with Relationship Managers and risk teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field and 2+ years of banking, relationship management, underwriting and credit experience.
• Knowledge of loans, credit analysis, spreading and analyzing financial statements, risk analysis, credit scoring, loan documentation.
• Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulations.
• Solid credit skills in underwriting, financial modeling, valuations and policy adherence.
• Excellent communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite new originations and portfolio exposures for CRE across multiple property types.
• Analyze borrower financials, cash flows, collateral valuation, sponsor strength and covenant sensitivities.
• Prepare clear written credit analyses and documentation; manage straightforward requests with limited supervision.
• Support deal origination, construction budgets, monthly draw reviews and project completion.
• Assist relationship managers with portfolio management, spreading statements, and covenant monitoring.
• Collaborate with Credit Approvers and risk partners; participate in client meetings as needed.
