Job summary

Rialto Capital is seeking a detail-oriented Associate to support complex real estate and financing transactions in a fast-paced environment. You will underwrite loan requests, draft credit memoranda, and present conclusions to senior management, while evaluating operating performance and lease data.

You will analyze debt service metrics, perform cash flow modeling, and review third-party reports to identify risks and ensure compliance with loan documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, underwriting, loan servicing, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• AI-enabled tools proficiency and ability to validate outputs to ensure accuracy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and deadlines.
• Reliable and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and structure complex real estate and financing transactions.
• Draft comprehensive credit memoranda and present findings to senior management.
• Underwrite loan requests from initial review through closing, including various borrower requests.
• Conduct property-level credit analyses and cash flow modeling to support credit recommendations.
• Assess operating performance through review of statements, rent rolls and leases.
• Evaluate third-party reports, loan docs, and contracts to identify risks and obligations.
• Communicate with borrowers, counsel, property managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure borrower requests and approvals comply with governing loan documents.
• Use AI to support research, analyze data, and streamline workflows, with judgment to validate outputs.
