Job summary

Calvert Systems is seeking a Communications Lifecycle Management and Sustainment Specialist to support the CRC in Hampton, VA. The role requires an active SECRET clearance or eligibility, with responsibilities spanning acquisition, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning of CRC communications equipment, plus coordination with program offices and MAJCOMs.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in USAF mission support or DoW equivalents in Radar, Airfield & Weather Systems or Cyber Defense Operations
• OR ten years as a Cyberspace Operations Officer (AFSC 17D) focusing on ground radios or radar maintenance
• Three years of CRC weapons system or DoW equivalents experience and familiarity with sustainment and organizational structure
• Three years in maintenance/sustainment/logistics and USAF Lifecycle Sustainment Processes
• Three years in USAF provisioning processes, TO development, maintenance training, and provisioning requirements
• Four years of project/program management as a senior lead
• Three years in a USAF HQ Staff environment with briefing and staff package experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 apps (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and advisement to CRC leadership on development and deployment of communications support functions
• Oversee lifecycle of CRC communications equipment from acquisition to decommission and maintain lifecycle metrics
• Analyze CRC communications equipment and recommend process, doctrine, and training improvements
• Develop sustainment strategies and fielding plans for equipment modifications
• Coordinate with program offices and MAJCOMs to stay current on CRC weapon system capabilities and initiatives
• Collaborate with subordinate units to improve CRC equipment and resolve maintenance and logistics issues
• Participate as a communications SME in CRC exercises, tests, and staff planning events
• Contribute to strategic planning and coordinate with leadership on A3C positions
• Prepare requirement documents (AF Form 1067, Functional Capability Documents) and coordinate with leadership
• Maintain access to equipment tracking systems and provide periodic readiness reports
• Identify emerging equipment and training gaps, and report improvements and UTC impacts
• Assist in developing training inputs for CRC communications personnel
• Identify and mitigate risks through training and readiness objectives
