Job summary

Pattison ID in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a hands-on builder to construct custom wooden shipping crates to exact dimensions and ensure products are safely prepared for transport. This role requires using table saws, nail guns, staple guns, and other power tools, reading a measuring tape, and performing basic quality inspections.

You will locate materials, prepare shipments with a forklift and overhead cranes, and perform packaging, labeling, and loading while maintaining a clean, safe work area

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with pneumatic and power tools is required.
• Must have experience reading a measuring tape.
• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
• Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.
• Able to operate a sit-down forklift.
• Experience in inventory control.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented builder responsible for constructing custom wooden shipping crates to precise dimensions and ensuring products are safely prepared for transport. Previous experience using table saws, nail guns, staple guns, and other power tools is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on work orders.


• Prepare and move products for shipment using a forklift and overhead cranes


• Perform duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, banding, labeling operations, and sorting


• Prepares finished product for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.


• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor


• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety policies
